The empire loses the initiative, but the Dwarves decide to wait and let the humans come to them. The Empire rushes forward, but Rexor's two spells are shrugged off, dispelled by the magic resistant Dwarves. The Hochland Long rifleman in the Hell blaster Volley gun unit attempts to shoot at the Thunderers banner carrier and succeeds. There is some confusion about whether the Thunderers have permanently lost their banner or not - unresolved it never really matters as the Thunderers are never involved directly in close combat. The Thunderers manage to pick of three Cavalrymen which instills panic in the unit! The Canonball is on target to devastate the swordsmen, but gets stuck in the ground one foot before the first line.
