Face of first Brit revealed

The remains of a man who died 10,000 years ago were found in a cave in England in 1903 and a tooth from the skull was recently DNA sequenced to reveal the individual's dark skin and blue eye colour. The man, known as Cheddar Man was a member of Haplogroup U5. While other older skeletons found in the cave were not related to Cheddar Man, about 10% of modern Europeans belong to this haplogroup.
