I couldn’t help myself. I saw an ad on a space.com story about the Cassini spacecraft which will be getting to Saturn later this month (click on June 30th in the ’site calendar’ in the block at right for that story) and I just had to click on it. There was a little picture of Albert Einstein and a wonderfully compelling “What’s your IQ” tagline that was simply irresistable. I’m happy to report that I have only lost 2 points since high school (if what my history teacher told me was true) and if this thing is accurate at all, I’m not a genius anymore - I am now rated at a merely “very superior intelligence”. The link to the IQ test is here. I got a 138, what did you get? By the way, I think this is complete BS, but even if it does measure something like intelligence, it certainly doesn’t measure common sense or I wouldn’t have wasted the time doing it when I could be finishing my book or sleeping…

PS you have to fill in some BS at the end of the test to get the result - I used a BS email, etc. and it still spat out the number. You can’t get the “comprehensive” 15 page report on what you’re supposedly good at without forking up some cash though. Maybe I should spring for the $15 bucks for laughs? I can just imagine what insights there would be into my character: “Nate, you’re really good at drinking beer, hanging out, wasting time and playing video games - thanks for the $15 bucks”
