Driving while asleep on the LIE
According to Newsday, Suffolk County police boxed in and forced an SUV travelling eastbound at 40 mph to a stop at exit 66 on the Long Island Expressway after receiving calls about the sleeping driver. Unable to wake the man with sirens and taps on his window, police probably thought the man had died, but upon investigation a crack pipe was found in the man’s lap.
