New Site Feature - Trespassenger Feed
Most of you already know that I love a lot of different kinds of music. I consider myself a musician, even though I haven’t been playing as consistently as I once did. My brother Ned (who I grew up playing music with) and my good friend, Todd (who I’ve also recorded with) are currently in a band called Trespassengers based in Harrisburg, PA. I’ve written about them here before but after winning ‘Track of the Day’ on Dec. 18th in the Americana genre, I thought it would be cool to post about them here again.
I’ve added a ‘Trespassengers Feed’ in the right column so I (and you!) can more easily keep up to date as they update that site.I won’t repeat all the good things I said in the previous post, but I will take the time to elaborate a bit on Ned’s fiddle parts:
Ned’s fiddle playing gets a lot of kudos in the reviews on Garageband and in my opinion, has transformed their otherwise excellent songs into superior ones. It’s subtle - he hangs back and lets others play their parts, he doesn’t overwhelm the song with the fiddle melody - sometimes just creating an edgy, string-tingliing tension in the background, but the part makes the song in many cases. Man, I really miss jamming with Ned.

Thanks!
I was looking forward to jammin in VT and with Rob before he goes back to Russia. Got the stitches out this morning. Still have to wait a few days more tho. Think the Trespassengers will be going into the studio soon. We have enough songs for two or three albums but only a few have been captured on tape/disk. Good/funny about the reviews on Garageband.
