New Site feature added - Chatterblock

SiteNews

For logged in members of this site only: I’ve added Chatterblock to the site (you should see a block in the right hand column) which allows you to post temporary messages and send private messages to other logged in users. I was talking to Fred at work and he mentioned that such a feature might be cool, so have at it! There is a new "Chatterblock settings" link in the "user functions" block which controls some of the new block’s behaviour, in case you feel like playing with that…

Should I open up the chatterblock feature to non-logged-in folks? I notice a
lot of people stopping by the site as "guest user", perhaps you anonymous
people would like to be able to type a quick hello on the site? Let me know!
Oh yeah, to comment you have to log in! Oh well, an email will work too.
Just click on my name someplace (all these posts have my name on ‘em)
and you can send email through there (I think), maybe you have to be
logged in to do that too - arrgh. Too much security? I think its better than
    getting defaced all the time.

Well, I opened it up to non-logged in folks, we’ll see how long we can keep it
that way before we get spammed. This means you can post to the
    chatterblock without being logged in.

There has been not one "chatter" amoung you yet, so this feature is gonna
get back-burnered soon. If you want to try this out, you’ll have to do so
    soon!
